Church Administrative Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Serve as receptionist during office hours by answering and screening phone calls, assisting in-person visitors and sorting mail and deliveries.

Prepare the Sunday Bulletin and inserts.
-
Manage the church calendar and announcements.
-
Prepare and sends church newsletters (both digital and printed).
-
Coordinate the use of church space.
-
Maintain and update church website.
-
Create and post social media content to promote church activates and foster online engagement.
-
Maintain the church’s membership, shut-in, visitor, and mailing lists.
-
General Office Work: order office supplies, filing important documents, printing and copying documents, assist with church reports.

Maintain the church’s vendor list and assist in making appointments for work at the church (i.e. HVAC, utility companies, repairs, etc)

Assist other staff as needed.

Other duties as needed which directly relate to the normal job role.

Is comfortable working with staff and other volunteers to achieve program goals
Professional Qualifications

Must understand the operations of the United Methodist Church
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google, YouTube, Facebook, Graphic Design Software (i.e. Canva, Photoshop, etc) and web-based mail clients and webpage managers.

Maintain confidentiality within staff and program activities.

Be detail oriented.
Work Schedule
-
Part time: Current Office Hours. Starting in 2025 hours will be three days per week, approximately 12 hours per week. ​​​
