Rev. Josh Roberts

Josh was appointed to Maple Avenue in June of 2019.  A native of Walton County, Georgia, Josh holds degrees from The University of Georgia (Bachelor of Arts in Sociology) and from Emory’s Candler School of Theology (Master of Divinity).  Josh was ordained as an elder in the North Georgia Conference in June of 2013.  

 

Prior to Maple Avenue UMC, Josh served as the Pastor of Allen Memorial UMC from 2015 to 2019.  Josh also served as the Associate Pastor of Chamblee First UMC from 2010 to 2015 and as the Pastor of Pleasant Valley UMC from 2006 to 2010.  In addition to his work at Maple Avenue, Josh currently serves as a member of the Order of Elders board, a member of the Board of Ordained Ministry, and is a member of the Central West District's Committee on Ordained Ministry.

 

Josh and Loren were married in November of 2006. They have two children, James and Elizabeth.
