Rev. Dr. Heather Jallad joined Maple Avenue in January 2026 and is thrilled to return to local church ministry as Senior Pastor, bringing a deep love for discipleship, shared life around the table, and getting to know and serving the Marietta community.
She is grateful to be returning to the rhythms of local church life. She brings experience serving small, medium, and large congregations across the North Georgia Conference and is passionate about helping the church form deep relationships, grow as disciples, and engage meaningfully with its neighbors.
Heather has a heart for evangelism and innovative forms of ministry, having pioneered the Fresh Expressions movement in North Georgia and helped start several dinner church communities. She is a recipient of the Harry Denman Award for Evangelism and continues to offer leadership in discipleship resourcing and pilot initiatives within the North Georgia Conference.
Heather holds a BA in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida, an MDiv from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Church Renewal and Fresh Expressions from United Theological Seminary.
She is especially excited to get to know and love the Marietta community. Outside of ministry, Heather enjoys long walks outdoors, reading widely, cooking and sharing meals with friends, and learning everything she can about sourdough. She and her husband, Marten, have two young adult daughters, Sierra and Ariana, and share life with their beloved 13-year-old dog, Domino.
