Annie Cook

Annie has been serving as pianist for Maple Avenue since June of 2019. She began playing organ at a Methodist church in North Carolina when only sixteen years old. She graduated cum laude from Troy University in music, receiving the Outstanding Music Graduate Award. She continued her music education at East Tennessee State University serving as graduate assistant to the choir director and establishing their first Suzuki Piano education department. While there she also began acting and writing with the theater division. Her musical “Hear That Whistle Blow” won  accolades from the American College Theater Festival and was performed at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.   

 

Annie serves as pianist for the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra and as the music director for Out Of Box theater in Marietta. She occasionally appears on stage, film, TV, and commercials. Her body of work includes appearances in Ozark, Bluff City Law, The Resident, The Ballad of JJ Snead (Dolly Parton TV), and the film Irresistible. She and her husband Randy (retired)  have two children who are adulting (Daughter Emily is an attorney in Atlanta, and son Harrison teaches orchestra for Cobb country). Their rescue dog, Percy is not very bright but makes up for it with cuteness.
