At
Maple Ave UMC Preschool Christian Academy we are committed
to providing children 18mos. – young 5’s with
an enriching preschool experience in a loving Christian atmosphere.
Our program offers:
A-Beka curriculum, language development, reading readiness,
phonics, listening skills, math readiness, science exploration
and creative art, Musikgarten Program, physical and social
development, bible adventures and weekly chapel for all ages.
All staff members
are CPR/First Aid Certified and have submitted to reference
and criminal records check.
We are open Monday-Thursday
9am to 12am. We offer a “lunch bunch” From 12
to 1pm.
Our preschool is a very important ministry of Maple
Ave. UMC.
God has blessed this ministry since its beginnings in 1997
and we continue to seek His guidance with prayerful hearts
in all we do. Through the combined efforts of our church,
teachers, and parents, we work as a team to accomplish all
God has for our school.
Our Director
Sue Sloane, majored in Early Childhood Education at the University
of Connecticut and has worked with children for over 20 years.
She was born in Key West, Florida, lived in Connecticut through
her college years and has lived in the Atlanta area for 39
years. Sue and her husband Jeff, have 3 children of their
own and 7 grandchildren. In 1997, Maple Ave UMC hired Sue
to develop a preschool program for the church and community.
